Pip's Pond

Privacy policy

Pip's Pond app and website · Effective 15 October 2026

In short
  • We do not collect, store or share any personal information from children or anyone else.
  • There are no adverts, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.
  • Game progress and settings stay on the device the game is played on.
  • If you buy the full game, Google Play handles the payment. We never see payment details.

Who we are

Pip's Pond is made by Playducation (registered name and address), referred to here as "we" or "us". You can contact us about privacy at contact email.

Information we collect

None. Pip's Pond does not collect personal information. The game makes no network requests of its own, does not ask for an account or sign-in, and contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking code.

Information kept on the device

To let the game remember where your child is, the following is saved on the device only:

  • progress: which ponds are finished, stars, certificates earned and the programs built for each pond;
  • settings: game speed, sound and music, and the chosen character;
  • the name typed onto certificates, if one is entered. This is optional, and a first name or nickname is enough.

This information never leaves the device through the game. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in Android's settings, deletes it.

Android backup

If backup is switched on in the device's settings, Android may include the game's saved progress in the backup it keeps in the family's own Google Account, so that progress can come back after reinstalling or on a new device. This is a feature of Android, controlled by the device owner and covered by Google's privacy policy. We cannot see these backups.

Purchases

The first part of the game is free. The full game is unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play. Google processes the payment under Google's payments privacy notice. The game only receives confirmation from Google Play that the purchase was made, so it can unlock the levels. We do not receive names, email addresses or payment details. The purchase sits behind a question meant for grown-ups.

Sharing certificates

A certificate can be saved as a picture or shared, after answering a grown-ups question. The picture is created on the device and passed to Android's share menu, where the grown-up chooses where it goes. The game does not send it anywhere by itself.

Permissions the app uses

  • Internet and network state: used only by Google Play's billing library, to check and make the in-app purchase. The game itself does not go online.
  • Billing: to offer the in-app purchase through Google Play.
  • Vibration: for short vibrations during play, which follow the game's sound setting.

The app does not ask for location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.

Children's privacy

Pip's Pond is made for children. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not collect it from children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). This is how we meet the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Google Play's Families Policy. Nothing in the game links to other websites or apps except the purchase and sharing steps, which are behind a grown-ups question.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and loads nothing from other companies. Like any website, the server that hosts it may keep basic technical logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) for a short time to keep the site running and secure. Name your web host and how long it keeps logs.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal information about you or your child, there is nothing for us to give you, correct or delete. You stay in control of the information on your device: you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the game or clearing its storage. If you have any question, contact us at contact email.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever starts handling information differently, we will update this policy before that change reaches the game, and change the date at the top. We will not add advertising or tracking.
